Hi. I am a University of Western Ontario Master of Physical Therapy student and was also one of the lucky students in the first year of Dave Walton's excellent new elective course called "Understanding Pain in Physical Therapy". The class opened my eyes to the depth and scope of the "pain experience" and has increased my understanding of pain and has also motivated me to seek more information. That's why Im at this site and why I will continue to suport the work that Dave and others are doing at promoting awareness of the importance of understanding pain in the physical therapy profession. Keep up the good work!

I am a physiotherapist in Alberta and am working on my Master's out of UBC. My current course load includes a course titled "Facilitating Learning in a Rehabilitation context. As the final assignment for this course I have to prepare an educational program for clients, colleagues or other stakeholders. As a member of a regional health authority I have decided to prepare a session for my fellow staff members on Current management strategies for dealing with clients with Chronic Pain. I was given information that included this site as a reference. I am sure that this will be the main reference site I will provide to my staff to assist in their goals to help their clients manage their chronic pain. Thanks for keeping this so current and relevant.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I´m studying Physiotherapy in the Netherlands and I come originalley from Germany. Next summer my theoretical part of my study is completed. Then I´ll have to do a practical yeah before I´ll get my diploma in Physiotherapy (European Bachlor of Physiotherapy). My great dream is to do at least one of the three practical trainings in Canada for 3 to 6 month. Each period goes over 10 weeks.
I am busy to apply for a practical training in Canada, but I´ve heard that it´s very difficult to get a place where I can do a that. Perhaps you kan help me to get a place for a practical training in Canada. I cannot speak french, that´s the reason, I want to go to Alberta of British Columbia.
I´m hope to get an reaction of my question.

Sincerely, Katharina Wermert (Email: kwermert@web.de)
