Canadian Academy of Pain Management Update

This message came to me from Gloria Gilbert, PT, regarding a CAPM meeting to be held during Canadian Pain Society conference in June in Victoria. PTs who are planning on attending this conference should make an effort to get to this meeting to ensure adequate PT representation within the CAPM, currently the only credentialing body in Canada for pain practitioners.

Message from Gloria:

The first general membership meeting of the CAPM will take place on Wednesday May 28, 6.45 a.m. to 7.45 a.m. during the CPS Meeting in Victoria (May 27-30)

This is a breakfast meeting before the opening session of the Education Day which precedes the official Conference

We will be voting in the elected Board of Directors of CAPM and additional nominations are still needed (to reflect good regional and multi-disciplinary representation)

Please email your nomination by May 26 to Dr. Eldon Tunks at etunk@mountaincable.net.

You can also make this nomination at the meeting.

You are welcome to attend the Breakfast meeting, even if you are not yet sure of the benefits of becoming a member of the CAPM.

For further information, contact Gloria Gilbert , PT at gloria@downtownlcinic.ca
